“Cuenta la leyenda que un joven se pasaba la vida de fiesta y nunca acataba órdenes de otros. Su padre le adviritó varias veces las consecuencias de su conducta, pero nunca logró que le hiciera caso. Cierto día, el joven decidió ponerse un cuero de animal y un par de cadenas encima para asustar a su progenitor con el fin de que lo dejera en paz. La noche llegó y cuando el padre vio la macabra figura que se movía frente a él, dijo:
‘Por desobedecer, Cadejos quedarás y a aquellos que han caído en tus desgracias habrás de ayudar’
Desde entonces, los pecadores que vagan de noche deben cuidarse de una temible bestia nocturna que hace sonar sus cadenas al estar cerca. Se dice que parece un gran perro negro que camina en sus patas traseras. El Infierno se refleja en sus orbes escarlatas y los más desafortunados se llevan más que un susto de su parte…”

“The legend goes that a young man lived his life as an eternal party and never obeyed the good-willed advises his parents gave him. His Father warned him several times the risks of living that way but his son never payed attention. The boy decided to wear an animal skin and some chains to scare his father when he arrived at home and so he did. His father, filled with anger, screamed:
“For not obeying, Cadejos you will stay
and others like you you shall save”
Since then, sinners who wander until late must keep an eye out for a vicious beast of night that drags its chains when near. It is said to look like an enormous black dog that walks on his hind legs. Hell itself is reflected in its eyes and the most unlucky victims get a little bit more than a scare from him…”
